The successful candidate for this position has a strong knowledge of supply chain and the procurement processes. They are able to work within a team as well as independently, a passion for continuous improvement, and be the face of QuEST to your customers. Essential Job Functions:
Ensure success of the supporting Cross-Functional-Teams by helping to interact with aerospace manufacturing suppliers, set and report hardware commitment dates, and track and expedite the delivery of aerospace hardware.
Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries
Maintain schedules regarding production, workers, progress and deadlines in order to ensure material is received on time
Create line-of-balance reports which involves collecting, measuring and presenting facts to highlight cycle times, costs and milestones
Gather necessary data, create and analyze metrics, maintain appropriate databases, and send required reports to the customer and the supply base
Understands the requirements of the end customer and takes corrective action to get back on plan if necessary
Ensure understanding of the needs of the transition and build process throughout hardware development
Monitors Supply Chain performance within the designated region to identify, define and drive continuous improvement activity to improve business performance.
Review and enter purchase order information into the applicable ERP system
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
Experience or familiarity with the manufacturing of hardware required
Knowledge of wire harness assemblies or electronics products preferred but not required
Proficiency manipulating data within MS Excel to create graphs, charts, and tables required
Ability to create business correspondences using email and MS PowerPoint required
Experience with Business Management Software and Databases preferred; experience with SAP would be a plus
Education, Training, and Experience
BA or BS degree in a non-technical domain
AS degree in an Engineering or Technical domain preferred
Minimum three years’ experience in an operations or supply chain environment
Working knowledge or SAP or equivalent MRP system
