Responsible for production schedules, managing inventory, communicating order status and changes, driving continuous improvement of scheduling functions, and facilitating inventory consensus across sales, operations, and procurement. This position involves a high level of interaction with a variety of business functions and also assists with achieving the daily operational tasks and goals.
Creates and develops production schedules for shop floor.
Maintains running accounts of orders received, work completed, and inventory.
Manages inventory levels, identifies exceptions, and develops resolutions to large variances to these levels in order to escalate or take corrective action.
Monitors inventory health group to ensure optimal customer service and high on time delivery percentage.
Evaluates improvements in forecasting techniques, method, and approach.
Modify and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for planning processes and systems.
Prepares data and material for weekly planning meeting with Buyers, as well as facility weekly meeting.
Review MRP messages and manage work orders.
Work with production line to manager inventory, monitor output, and track shortages.
Update/manage system and planning software inputs.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
Minimum 3-years related experience or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience.
