The ChallengeProvide administrative support for management within the department.Responsible for supporting the production department in all administrative functions; generate purchase orders, generating production reports, supporting payroll functions for production staff and other as needed.

The Position

  • Generate purchase orders as requested

  • Record production data and generate reports as needed

  • Responsible for facilitating E-Time reports throughout the production department and returning necessary documentation to Human Resources

  • Support production department in all administrative functions

  • Maintains a cGMP work environment and follows all safety guidelines

  • Other duties assigned by management.

  • Ensure Quality procedures, Management Directives, and Quality.

  • Report any quality deviations or non-conformances that you observe.

  • Support routine Quality talks/briefings with staff to raise Quality awareness (for those with direct reports).

  • Has the authority to intervene in the event of a quality or safety protocol concern.

SHE Responsibilities

  • Knows and follows all DSM Life Saving Rules.

  • Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times; uses proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels; that all people in the area (personnel, visitors, contractors, etc.) comply with the safety directives.

  • Acts in such a way that safety awareness and accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks; responsible to work in a SHE responsible manner and report all SHE incidents, shows leadership by working to SHE standards and encouraging employees to work to the same standards.

  • The position requires a range of competencies from the ability to work with minimal supervision, to apply good judgment, to work safely and responsibly, to be able to adapt to change, and to be reliable & conscientious when coming to work.

The Ideal

  • High school diploma required

  • 3-years work experience in administrative function required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge/experience with ERP software

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spread sheets, database, and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
