The ChallengeThis position supports the Material Department by utilizing inventory control analysis techniques such as cycle counting. Compiles and maintains inventory records and reports for tracking material balances as well as a means of measuring performance and accuracy. Verifies inventory database compilations against actual physical count of stock and adjusts discrepancies, investigates reasons for such and initiates corrective action to prevent future discrepancies.
The Position• Cycle count, on a predetermined basis, the raw materials, WIP and finished goods in the facility• Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and take corrective action to reduce or eliminate future discrepancies• Input inventory count information into database system and generate reports needed for management analysis• Provide the means to track and report compliance and performance against a set of pre-defined key metrics to meet the requirements of accounting and external audits for procedural controls, count frequency and inventory accuracy levels• Order and inventory packaging supplies• Perform temperature monitoring on all storage units and manage temperature deviation reporting• Report any quality deviations or non-conformances that you observe.• Has the authority to intervene in the event of a quality or safety protocol concern.• Proficient in SAP transactions related to inventory management

The Ideal• HS diploma required
• Requires at least 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, prefer experience with materials or inventory support
• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate ideas both orally and written
• Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Must be proficient with computer applications and be trainable on company programs
• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in work processing, spread sheets, database, and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
