Brief Job Description:

Perform duties including but not limited to operating a tugger, kitting, receiving and stocking material, parts and components for production line assembly

Job Responsibilities: but not limited to:

  • Transport, load, unload and store a variety of material, parts and components needed for production

  • Partner with and support Operation to ensure JIT is practiced

  • Maintain production flow and attain TAKT time

  • Take physical inventory to monitor, maintain and replenish inventory levels in the area

  • Obtain stock and parts from receiving and kitting areas

  • Initiate and document problems and bottle necks to help solve continuous flow delays

  • Kitting, packaging and shipping product in support of production flow

  • Ability to make the required transaction with DSI scan guns

  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid PIV license, inspect and maintain PIV equipment before use

  • Actively participate in daily housekeeping

  • Utilize the ACE 5S principles to promote continuous improvement

  • Follow all EH&S and quality policies and procedures , including PIV Cardinal Rules

  • Attend daily tool box meetings

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

    Education:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent and/or ability to read and follow directions

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:

  • Exposed to heat, noise, dust, dirt, and moving machinery, 100% inside work. Must be aware of moving machinery.

Physical Demand Category: (P.D.C.)

  • If item weighs more than 35 lbs., employee must ask for assistance in lifting and/or use the appropriate crane, forklift or other lifting devises.

Knowledge:

  • ACE – Basic knowledge of ACE principles and application.

  • Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

  • Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

  • Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

  • Electrical or Electronic Systems - Knowledge of principles and method of support structures, circuits and installation components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.

  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

  • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

  • Communication – Ability to speak directly with others to convey information effectively and actively listen to instruction given to understand information and ideas presented to effectively carry out daily operations.

  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

  • Operation Monitoring & Control - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly including controlling operations of equipment or systems.

  • Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Walking, balancing, climbing, standing, twisting/turning, bending/stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling/squatting, sitting, reaching above shoulder height, reaching forward, lifting (maximum 50 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, handling, feeling, digital dexterity, wrist flexion/extension, power grip, working speed, talking, hearing, seeing (with color vision) depth perception. Must be able to wear/use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, and to cope with stress, and repetitive tasks and be able to self-inspect and take responsibility for quality of own work.
