Senior Material Planner
As a Senior Material Planner, you'll manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules. Further responsibilities include determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external stakeholder relations.
A successful Senior Material Planner should be able to ensure the appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery.
What you will Do
Coordinates purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders based on program/manufacturing needs and existing inventory.
Coordinates with other departments to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and availability of components, assemblies and all materials necessary to support the bill of material and program requirements
Plan, issue and control material demands in order to meet production scheduling requirements
Advise management on status of work in process, material availability and potential production problems to ensure that materials are available as needed
Provides input, based on materials availability, to the Master Scheduler
Communicate with production and scheduling about production achievement on key products
Prepare On-Time, Complete Shipment Report, and Forecast Accuracy Report every week
Communicate and function hand in hand with the Materials team to ensure proper receipt of goods
Perform Cycle counting of parts to ensure on hand quantities are accurate for MRP run accuracy
Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations
Analyze ERP demand / supply signals and submit Work Orders or Requisitions where required
Prepare documents needed for production
Identify critical shortages / roadblocks
Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required
Manage and react to daily hot list items
Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory
Coordinating with BOM Specialist and Engineering to ensure minimum Obsolescence during Engineering change process
Participate in CIB meetings and process
What you need to Succeed

BS Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field.
Experience with ERP systems a must
Proven supply chain experience
Ability to create and improve processes for a new product line
Strong systems capabilities (Microsoft Office, ERP systems, Life Cycle Management Systems and a willingness to learn proprietary systems)
Ability to lead others when a direct reporting relationship does not exist
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High customer focus and energetic approach to issues
Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
Ability to drive a fork truck if circumstances require.
- Experience with Oracle EBS ERP system
Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment.
Work may involve infrequent lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds.
Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots.
Working at Lineside as needed.
