Kelly Services Quality Control Technician in Chester, South Carolina

Quality Control Technician - 3rd Shift

  • Perform daily QC duties including: pulling samples from production; solids, pH and viscosity analysis; GC/MS analysis; particle size analysis; density; screenables; draw-downs; bacteria testing and daily calibration checks of equipment.

  • Perform production and shipping specification testing, and entry of test results in notebook and computer.

  • Make formulation additions and product adjustments based on lab blends, pH adjustments, particle size blends, viscosity and solids adjustments.

  • Assist with production troubleshooting and support.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot QC equipment and perform assigned calibrations/verification at the required frequency.

  • Interface with management, production manager, and production staff to facilitate growth and improvement in the QC process.

  • Perform raw material testing.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Typically requires a college degree in chemistry or relate subject.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in quality control setting.

  • Excellent communication, mathematical and written skills are required.
